The All-New 2023 Toyota Tundra has arrived!
The 2023 Tundra is the most powerful, most capable and most advanced body-on-frame truck by Toyota to date. With the introduction of this new design, we are excited to take you through some of the Tundra’s updated design, suite of available technology, performance capabilities, as well as the multiple safety features of this new truck.
The 2023 Tundra is offered in a total of six available trim levels: The SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 and TRD Pro models.
Born From Invincible
Improvements and enhancements include a new high-strength boxed, steel-ladder frame, aluminum-reinforced composite bed, as well as a fully redesigned multi-link rear suspension. The 2023 Tundra is offered with two different powerplant configurations. A highly efficient twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 engine offers impressive output by itself, producing up to 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft. of torque. When paired with a brilliantly engineered bell-housing motor system called the i-FORCE MAX, the result is a combined performance output of 437 horsepower and a whopping 583 lb.-ft. of torque. Both configurations will be mated to a new 10-speed automatic transmission.
Two Powerful Powertrains
The new Tundra will offer two powertrain options: a twin-turbo V6 engine and a hybrid twin-turbo V6. Surprisingly, the hybrid powertrain will be the most powerful of the two. Mated to both engines will be a 10-speed Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmission with intelligence (ECTi).
Rugged, Yet Sophisticated
The All-New Tundra is designed by truck people, for truck people. Years of design resulted in this new full-sized truck’s bold exterior styling, which in turn compliments its spacious well-equipped interior. This newly designed interior offers up creature comforts for driver and passenger alike. A new truck with an all-new chassis requires a new approach to suspension. With that said, the most noteworthy change to handling and performance is the new multi-link rear suspension, using coil springs instead of the older leaf spring design. The result is better ride comfort, straight line stability, overall handling dynamics and increased towing capacity.
These days, tech is everywhere and it's certainly plentiful throughout the new Tundra. Some examples include off-road enhancements, an all-new multimedia system, featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with over-the-air updates.
The Tundra is available in two different four-door layouts, as well as various bed lengths, including a 5.5-foot bed, 6.5-foot bed and an 8.1-foot bed. As you would expect, premium materials are abundantly used in the Tundra, a truck with a remarkably strong pedigree.
The new Tundra is of a muscular, chiseled and athletic design that looks like it can handle the toughest of demands. This all-new design approach is focused on providing active safety features as standard equipment on every grade. Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 comes standard on the SR trim-level, all the way to the TRD Pro line. This current generation of Tundra raises the bar in its class across design, performance, safety and technology standards. Toyota’s dependable DNA has been passed from generations to culminate in the most capable, most powerful and most advanced body-on-frame truck ever.
Now, let’s explore some of the Tundra’s suite of technological features.
First up is Toyota’s Audio Multimedia system, designed and engineered by Toyota’s Texas-based Connected Technologies team. This system operates on Toyota’s newly designed touchscreens, and features the brand new Human Machine Interface (HMI). This advanced HMI delivers improved interaction through sight, touch, and voice activation. This new system is featured on the centrally located standard 8-inch touchscreen, or the gorgeous available 14-inch touchscreen with improved screen resolutions for high-quality, crisp visuals.
Models come equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The convenience and familiarity of your mobile phone right on your Tundra’s screen.
For 2022, let the Toyota Tundra be your ultimate towing machine.
With a maximum towing capacity of 12,000 LBS (5,440 KG) and a maximum payload capacity of 1,940 LBS (880 KG), the all-new Tundra is ready for anything you may throw at it. The mighty I-FORCE engine delivers incredible power, as well as torque, while simultaneously providing exceptional fuel efficiency, rated at 13.5/10.6 (City/Hwy)
The 3.5L twin-turbo V6 delivers 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. The 10-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with intelligence (ECT-i) features sequential shift mode, along with uphill/downhill shift logic, and two TOW/HAUL driving modes.
